Lovely promises when one is stuck in a roaring blizzard and going stir-crazy after weeks of frigid weather with not enough outdoor activity. π I will have to try to focus my ears on hearing more of those songs of deliverance. They sound much prettier than whining and complaining arias. π
Oh, a little whine’s okay–just serve some cheese with it!! In all seriousness though, I’m so sorry about the weather y’all are having–along with other parts of the world. We’ve been beyond blessed–a lovely snow evening Thurs night I think (2 haiku coming on Sun with my neighbor’s photo), then all melted away so I could walk up to do shopping yesterday–it feels practically spring-like, so I’m definitely in “God’s country”. (I think He knew I was at the breaking point: don’t give the gal one more thing to contend with, or she may quit blogging entirely, rather than just start ANOTHER one.) love to you xxoo
There are many, many things more important to life than the weather. Having said that, this prairie gal is thirsting for spring!! IT will come, in time. Meanwhile, there is poetry to write! Thanks, friend…
100% track record, in other words? π Almost as sure as death and taxes – might be a few weeks off one way or the other, but come it always does. Thanks Lyle!
I think it’s Psalm 26 I was reading yesterday, where it says God “surrounds us with songs of deliverance…unfailing love”.

I think your basis in hope is solid. In all the time I’ve lived here spring has come every year.

Glad you are starting to listen out for the songs of spring. Soon the songs will be clear and beautiful; pitched perfectly.
Now is just the warm-up phase. I love that idea! Another poem in there, me thinks! You are good for me, truly…
Ditto π
What a beautiful photo, Melody! Nice poem about spring, and I am certainly waiting for spring to arrive.
I think that there are a LOT of us in that boat with you, Madilyn!! Thanks for stopping by…
Absolutely beautiful! π
Thanks Sheryl!
