Winter’s sweet meringue is covering many parts of America right now. People are snowed under for sure. May a nice dessert will ease it. Lovely post Melody.

We got more this morning, blown in straight sideways! Might as well enjoy some of it through our imaginations at least, eh? 🙂 Thanks RumPunch.

  2. Gallivanta

Looks delicious. May I have two serves?

    1. melodylowes

Oops – we finished it off this morning with our tea. I’ll whip you up a fresh batch, shall I? 😉

      1. Gallivanta

Yes, please! I am sure you have plenty of the raw ingredients 🙂

  3. Mirada

Ha ha–it truly looks like meringue!

I made hubby a pavlova for part of his valentine treat – the connection to meringue was inescapable, really. Mmmm…

      1. Mirada

Oooh, what’s a pavlova? Sounds divine….if it’s not too complicated.

      2. melodylowes

Super easy. Google it! It’s a giant meringue, topped with whipped cream, fruit, and berry coulis. The pavlova ends up like a soft marshmallow inside, crisp on the outside, and it melts away to nothing in your mouth. Deadly…

Oh my gosh already–sounds very romantic indeed!

4 egg whites made a 7 inch diameter ‘cake’ – bang for the buck, too!!

      5. Mirada

There’s just no stoppin’ you, Mel!! Too bad you can’t abide gluten, my Coconut Muppins are a nice treat too, albeit less glamourous……

    How cute! 🙂

      Help yourself! 🙂 Thanks, Daisy!

What a unique way of seeing and expressing. I loved it!

      Thank you, Marie!

Winter really does provide some stunning scenes.

You will appreciate the trials in the acquisition thereof. I may or may not have floundered into a four-foot super-soft drift and gotten (ahem!) upside down like a turtle, helplessly squirming with my camera above my head trying to save it from a fate worse than death. 🙂

      1. Lyle Krahn

That soft snow can create some amusing situations. The real photograph then gets missed.

Always bring a buddy? With a camera, no less… hehe
