As the Polish used to say, ‘united we stand divided we fall’.

Too true. There are a whole lot of things that we simply weren’t designed to do on our own. Sometimes (for me, anyway!) it takes swallowing our pride and simply ASKING when we need it. There is a danger in allowing our trials to divide and conquer, when we could be comforting and supporting one another. Thanks Rum-Punch!

This thought has been on my mind a lot lately. Co-operation and comfort instead of struggle and competition.

        I’ll take it!

that just warmed my heart, Melody!!!

    1. melodylowes

Yay! Thanks, Heidi. I feel you standing with me… 🙂

      1. Heidi Viars

I am the little short and stubby one 🙂

      2. melodylowes

Not the one who has lost her head? *shock and dismay* 😉

      3. Heidi Viars

yep, hence short and stubby 😦

It takes all sizes and shapes to stand together in that united front – if we were all tall and lanky, our knees would be left open to assault!! 😉

There is this picture in my heard now … A little stubby one, w/o a head, clinging to the knocking knees of the tall and lanky on … we make a pitiful army, don’t we …. but we know our Commander, ha!!!

      6. melodylowes

Pitiful straggly bunch that we are, we are formidable, covered as we are by our Mighty Captain! Onward, ho! 🙂

This was the same question that comes to a head every Sunday for me/us. Is there an answer?

    1. melodylowes

We’ll never know, until we are actually standing together. The potential is delicious – imagine it! Thanks, Angie….

Thanks Wendy! I was reminded in our service today of the power of standing as a unit, fighting for each other in this battle called life. Btw – how did you get that cute little flower as your calling card? Love it!

My teen daughter showed me how to cut & paste them from here: http://unicodeemoticons.com/cool_text_icons_and_pictures.htm

I hope the link works for you.

    absolutely love this image, Melody!

Thanks, Pam. I thought these poppies looked a little like a scared knot of tourists in a foreign situation, they are grouped so tightly and tentatively against the big bright world. A good reminder for us to set aside our own agendas and stand with those we care about…

      1. Pam

        beautiful thought…
