Ready, Set, Grow

hoarfrosted grass

Where tears met the fog,

Your armour grew –

Negligee wrapping

Pain in more palatable form,

Deflecting eyes from

Bones brittle as death.

If you allow the Light

To strip you naked

(Sinews and seams

Bruised and bare)

Your genuine

Can grow.

  4. Going through one of those painful growing spurts and find myself once again battling a prolonged illness with an adversary that I thought was for the most part slain between pain, and exhaustion not much time to write or read I have missed your passion for the written word that paints emotions with such vividness. I came looking for you tonight and I was not disappointed,

    • melodylowes says:

Wow – I am so deeply honoured to be included in your choice of reading time – thank you! I am so sorry that you are battling illness – it is so difficult to be betrayed by our bodies, and to not have the ability or focus or capacity to do what we would like to be able to do!
