Thanks Joyce. These little shorebirds frequent a salt-water lake near my home – they are so much fun to watch. Inspiration lurks in all sorts of places, doesn’t it?
π These little shorebirds were a lot of fun to watch. They either like each other a lot, have very little desire for alone time, or haven’t the brains to go somewhere new without a pack of look-alikes tagging along.
You’re welcome, and my world is happy and well! My daughter is home for the summer until her senior college year begins, so it’s nice to be a family of 4 again. Just trying to enjoy life to the fullest. π Have a great weekend!
Thanks Lauren! How nice to have your daughter home. We are off on holidays for the first time without our son. *sigh* Things change when they grow up!! Enjoy…
Ahh..hope you have a great time, Melody! Some things are nice when they’re older! We are following in your footsteps in 2 weeks, as we’re heading for Oregon, rented a condo, just the two of us. Our daughter is looking for a summer job (fingers crossed) and our son has a job. They’ve actually had plans with friends, so it’s all good. We can’t wait and ready now. π
I like it! The picture is lovely, and the words make you think π ~Joyce

It sure does. I enjoy watching birds at the shore. I don’t write poetry though. Leave that to others π
Very cute!

Great matching of words and photo. Life laps is a nice turn of phrase.
Thanks Lyle.
I loved “life laps” and the photo is stunning, Melody!!!
Thanks Debbie!
Sweet words and gorgeous photo, Melody!
Thanks, Lauren! How is your world these days?

IT’s so gratifying when they are happy and settled – it just takes some time for us old ones to adjust to the change… π
Exactly! π
Gosh, and don’t we take some coaxing sometimes?
Absolutely! And then we don’t want to come in for supper! hehe We tend to be contrary critters, don’t we?
Very much so!
