I pause
mid-stride,
my to-do list caught
in your delicate detour,
fly to your whimsical web.
Task and master flounder,
round ruffled maze-twists;
forgetfulness steals soft
in lemon-drop swirls.
Weeds will wait.
Urgency evaporates
amidst petalled purity;
here is Now,
here is life alive,
painted to mimic sunshine,
so I pause.
Exquisite. I would pause too. In fact, I want to curl up in those petals and fall asleep.
Garden naps are the BEST!!!! ;D
But don’t forget to nap in the shade!
Hmm. You are a little late with your advice. *ouch* 😉
A nice detour I would say! 🙂
Sometimes we need to stop and smell the – er, dahlias. hehe
Lovely!
Thank you so much!
I am so glad you paused and then wrote about it too! Wonderful, Melody!
Thank you Debbie! You refresh my heart!
