This spoke to me. It’s hard sometimes to be bold in our witness and life when we feel so scarred and defective, but as you wrote, each scar is our beauty mark and it show we are human. Those who try to cover up scars actually cover up there real character and humanness.
And – Who do we know that was scarred beyond recognition, and yet deserves to be called BEAUTIFUL? I have run from my scars all my life. I am now learning how to own them, even celebrate them – for they give me a vehicle for sharing the power of what HE can do in a life full of chaos and brokenness…. Thank you Stephen!
Love your tender response, Melody, and the affirmation of “what HE can do in a life full of chaos and brokenness.” Your photos continue to be breathtaking. Thanks for sharing your gifts.
Yep. I love to see examples of courage, especially among the ‘hurt ones’. Frost is a big bully – and wins out for a season. But sunshine always beats it back in the end! 🙂
I have been battling bronchitis, and am tired out. But my little classroom is going well and I am enjoying all the fresh veggies from my garden! Take care! Hugs in return… 🙂

Thanks so much. I value your encouragement!
Oh wowza, Mel–beautiful words and exquisite flower; I like the lacy edges and the petals look like silk. Gorgeous.
Thanks! I love this daylily too. It has a lot of subtlety that is very unique. And I love its courage, too!
Courage is indeed beautiful–deep, subtle, enduring.
Loved your poem and your reply to Stephen, Melody! Thank you!
Thanks Debbie!
A touch of frost?
