Fully Grown

The vows, inception, but a bud, Which Time has now released; The years, the layers, gracious flood Where depth of love increased. The petals, pathways intertwined, Your fingers in my own; The flower, beauty, souls aligned, A marriage fully grown.

Morden Blush

The vows, inception, but a bud,

Which Time has now released;

The years, the layers, gracious flood

Where depth of love increased.

The petals, pathways intertwined,

Your fingers in my own;

The flower, beauty, souls aligned,

A marriage fully grown.

    Beautiful! May it bloom in beauty for eternity.

      Thanks Russ! Funny actually that roses are so symbolic of love – they sure don’t last very long in reality! But – they’re pretty and they sure smell good. So I’ll just go with it. 🙂

    What a beautiful poem, Melody! It would be great for an anniversary! :).

      A little late for my own. Maybe just 9 months early for my 25th?? 🙂

    Beautiful. But, yes, maybe something slow growing and long lived like a cactus would be more realistic a symbol for love. 😀

      HA! I’m expecting your idea to catch on. Imagine all the pretty little cactus songs that will sweep across the world… 🙂
