Sweet as sugar, syrupy as maple,
Candy-corn confection, summertime staple;
Glucose and fructose on a candied stick –
Yours is a lollipop I never want to lick!
Okay, a little far-fetched – but this lily variety is seriously named ‘Lollipop’! ย ๐
They smell so good, too!
I forgot that part! ๐
What are you doing to me? Don’t you know I’m a sweets addict and I have a very hard time to satisfy my constant sweet tooth while on the ship? I guess you don’t, and I forgive you because you are my good friend ๐
I love the lilies, they look sweet and regal!
xoxo
You will find a way to indulge your need for sugar somehow! *giggle*
Tee hee! Very whimsical, Melody! They’ve got some interesting names out there for flower varieties!
Some of them are terrific – some not so much. Just like some of the world’s greatest music – what was in Beethoven’s head? Sheesh…you’d think such a creative mind would find something more descriptive than ‘Symphony No. 9’…
I LOVE this one–so fun! I love lilies, the ones with strong perfume–but I don’t like that powdery pollen stuff that stains my table cloth…
My newest acquisitions are pollen-free – I developed allergies to my lilies (which my husband defines as the height of irony!). I don’t have as much trouble now since going gluten-free- go figure!
Your too cute!
A girl’s gotta have SOME fun, right?? ๐
