Even the daylilies… nothing but stalks for the last month. No flowers at all now. Now we start raking leaves soon. Although it’s too hot to do much of anything.
Oh, oh – your heat must have blasted everything. Ah, that’s too bad. It is very discouraging! I thought it was just we up north that were always waiting for ‘next year’… Sigh.

My lilies are long gone now…. Nothing was eating them, but a lot of creatures were trying to polinate them…
Now it is the dayliles’ turn to put on their show – and very soon, all blossoms will fall away in the work of winter preparation. The cycle unending…
