Autumn Cathedral

Earth’s stained-glass window –

God’s grace-filled heart reflected

into souls of men.

Prayers like incense rise
from ruby lips, beryl throats –
Autumn Cathedral.
My friend Caddo Veil and I hatched a plot and collaborated on this one – they always say 2 heads are better than 1!   She penned the opening haiku, and I tacked on the last.  What fun!  You can read more of her lovely work here.

  3. Hi Melody – Caddo recommended your blog to me, and I can see why. I’ll be subscribing to your blog and looking forward to reading more.

Your collaboration with her on this one is lovely! 🙂

Thank you Betty! Part of the fun of blogging is ‘meeting’ the right people – there is so much to inspire and encourage creativity out there in cyber-space! Nice to ‘meet’ you! 🙂

What a great combination of Caddo’s and yours, like stained glass poems! Beautiful! Thank you!

Nice work, we did, Melody–I’m looking forward to more collaborating with you, and maybe a longer one, next time. Thrilled to see Betty made it over here, too!! God bless you, my good friend–love, Caddo

Thank you for the gorgeous prompt! Went to a park today and saw much to delight and tantalize the poetic senses – hopefully some of the pics I took with an inferior camera will produce enough offspring to keep me going for a few more camera-less days…

  6. Hi, Melody, Here’s hoping this works… this time of year really brings out the special things to notice…. Love this post of yours.

Hope this works… They still don’t have me that I’m following you but they are still sending me your blogs… Somethings really in a snafu.

I love this post of yours… It captures how crisp all our perceptions are this year.
