Sunlight robed in Sunday best,
sky, the sea on canvas brushed,
leaves in rustling autumn vest
swayed to whispered wind-worn hush.
Branches opened fists of wood,
letting go of season past,
and I, who underneath it stood,
saw Your hand, and gripped it fast.
Gripped it fast – nice thot.
Thanks Lyle! π
Wow! This really isn’t fair, you know–day after day of brilliance from you! Makes everyone else work harder–and I’m so busy, being “retired”…waahh
Again – cry me a river…. *wicked grin*
Oh, you’re full of yourself tonight, aren’t you now!
Better that than turkey! *moan*
Oh dear–all that tryptophan will make you sleep well, though!
Should, but doesn’t – just makes me groggy all evening in order to perk up in time for a restless sleep. Drat.
Oh No! Maybe you’re supposed to eat it closer to bedtime–if one is using turkey as a sleep aid.
Does it come in capsule form??? π
L-tryptophan does come in capsules–But it sure don’t taste like a good turkey sandwich!
π We are still feasting – our last meal from that bird is coming up tonight – yum! I’ll make sure to enjoy that trytophan…
This one “gripped” me for sure… Melody, what a gift you have!
Blessings ~ Wendy
Thank you Wendy! I appreciate that!
So beautiful! I was wanting and waiting to share a scripture with you. It matches this picture!
Out of the north he comes in golden splendor; God comes in awesome
majesty. … Job 37:22
Ooooh- I love Job. What a great quote, and one I’m not familiar with! Thanks! π
I love this post! Thank you for sharing π
Thank you Dana!
Wow, this is a special one!
I’m so glad you like it! Thanks for taking the time to visit today!
[…] Your Hand (Meanwhile, Melody Muses…) […]
All I can say is wow! It’s amazing how the Lord can use his creation to inspire us to look up toward heaven and praise his holy name. This poem captured that kind of moment thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks so much! I’m so glad that you are able to glean some deeper thoughts from my work – that makes my day!
