Your Hand

Sunlight robed in Sunday best,

sky, the sea on canvas brushed,

leaves in rustling autumn vest

swayed to whispered wind-worn hush.

Branches opened fists of wood,

letting go of season past,

and I, who underneath it stood,

saw Your hand, and gripped it fast.

Wow! This really isn’t fair, you know–day after day of brilliance from you! Makes everyone else work harder–and I’m so busy, being “retired”…waahh

  3. This one “gripped” me for sure… Melody, what a gift you have!

So beautiful! I was wanting and waiting to share a scripture with you. It matches this picture!
Out of the north he comes in golden splendor; God comes in awesome
    majesty. … Job 37:22

  8. All I can say is wow! It’s amazing how the Lord can use his creation to inspire us to look up toward heaven and praise his holy name. This poem captured that kind of moment thanks for sharing it with us.
