Your Hand

Sunlight robed in Sunday best, sky, the sea on canvas brushed, leaves in rustling autumn vest swayed to whispered wind-worn hush. Branches opened fists of wood, letting go of season past, and I, who underneath it stood, saw Your hand, and gripped it fast.

Sunlight robed in Sunday best,

sky, the sea on canvas brushed,

leaves in rustling autumn vest

swayed to whispered wind-worn hush.

Branches opened fists of wood,

letting go of season past,

and I, who underneath it stood,

saw Your hand, and gripped it fast.

Wow! This really isn’t fair, you know–day after day of brilliance from you! Makes everyone else work harder–and I’m so busy, being “retired”…waahh

    1. melodylowes

Again – cry me a river…. *wicked grin*

      1. Caddo Veil

Oh, you’re full of yourself tonight, aren’t you now!

      2. melodylowes

        Better that than turkey! *moan*

      3. Caddo Veil

Oh dear–all that tryptophan will make you sleep well, though!

      4. melodylowes

Should, but doesn’t – just makes me groggy all evening in order to perk up in time for a restless sleep. Drat.

      5. Caddo Veil

Oh No! Maybe you’re supposed to eat it closer to bedtime–if one is using turkey as a sleep aid.

      6. melodylowes

Does it come in capsule form??? 😉

      7. Caddo Veil

L-tryptophan does come in capsules–But it sure don’t taste like a good turkey sandwich!

      8. melodylowes

🙂 We are still feasting – our last meal from that bird is coming up tonight – yum! I’ll make sure to enjoy that trytophan…

So beautiful! I was wanting and waiting to share a scripture with you. It matches this picture!

All I can say is wow! It’s amazing how the Lord can use his creation to inspire us to look up toward heaven and praise his holy name. This poem captured that kind of moment thanks for sharing it with us.
