I am plain,
a commonplace and crude step-sister
ever watching Cinderellas
snag a Prince’s gaze;
nothing within or without
to draw eyes or sighs.
But You are on life’s horizon –
Your Light is breathtaking,
and You in me,
I in You,
flips heart’s switch,
ignites filament.
When Your sun rises
where soul’s search settles,
dawn breaks through open pores,
and I am –
stunning…
Wow! This is beautiful. The photo is stunning, also.
Thanks Daisy! 🙂
Lovely, just lovely, spiritual and with such depth… Was Emily Dickinson plain? Eleanor Roosevelt? Sacagawea? Amelia Earheart? Melody the Muse and Muser? I say No. Beauty is their reflection in another’s eyes, whether human, spirit or Divinity. Wonderfully written. You are a beautiful poet, a deep thinker and impassioned dreamer. Youu always hit your mark. 🙂 E
Why, thank you kind Sir! 🙂
I’m guessing this is a word all the female readers need today, and some of the men!
I so struggle with this! I really REALLY need to get this knowledge from head to heart…
How ’bout if I shout it to you: YOU ARE STUNNING!!!!! (ooh, I think I hurt my own ears)
I didn’t hear that. Again? 😉
WE ARE STUNNING, WOW-WONDER-WOWZA!!!!
Okay – caught that one! 🙂
This is stunning and brought tears. Thank you and God bless you, as you stun us with the beauty of all you are, of all He created you to be!
*sniff* Thank you, sweet angel of encouragement…
A suitable morning prayer methinks.
You should be walking about with Medieval robes or something, with that vernacular… 🙂
Forsooth, ’tis the way he speaketh to all those who doth follow in the way of words, mayhem and frivolity.
‘Tis truth He speaketh, anon…
Verily…
