autumn barberry

Ruby red, her troubled lips,

Ruby red the blood that drips

From troubled heart which, breaking, sighs;

Loving even as it dies.

  2. Now that’s what I call a perfect poem Melody. What more can I say? Great post.

  3. I just remembered a few lines that read, “I loved when I met you, and lived the few weeks you loved me.” A cherry-glint of remembrances ! Faithfully Debbie xo

  4. Caddo says:

    Oh, beautiful–and sad, of course. And I love what Debbie said–cherry glint really goes with the flower/plant. What is it, anyway??
