The frost that ruptures arteries and makes her foliage weep is also master of the brush that earns true glory’s keep, for as he paints the crimson tide with blood as palette’s edge, his lines mark beauty’s truest form, and trace salvation’s ledge.

frosty foliage

The frost that ruptures arteries

and makes her foliage weep

is also master of the brush

that earns true glory’s keep,

for as he paints the crimson tide

with blood as palette’s edge,

his lines mark beauty’s truest form,

and trace salvation’s ledge.

    Wow-wonderful.

Thanks Caddo. Is wow-wonderful in the dictionary yet??? And more to the point – would you get commission??

      1. Caddo

Well, I don’t care about getting commission, but it certainly SHOULD be in some legitimate dictionary (as opposed to the “urban” one). In any event, Christine (Journey Into Poetry) and I are nearly ready with a new lexicon (joke)–I’ve been turning our typos into fun words! Ex: yesterday instead of typing my typical sign-off, “Hugs and Smoochies”–I typed “smoochines”. I told her that adding the “n” makes it a holiday sweet–somewhere between meringues, Marguerites, and tiny pastries. Very delish! And Wow-Wonderful!

      2. melodylowes

*snort* Can you buy smoochines by the dozen???

      3. Caddo

They’re not quite on the market yet–still have to come up with a recipe, THEN we’ll be happy to sell them in “family size” bags–and rake in the “dough” (Oh, I’m crackin’ myself up now!!). And we’re open to suggestions, specially as you and Chris are both gluten-free gals–so forward recipe ideas to us!

It seems sad, but actually frost does keep alive as well as in the fairy tale, because one day, a kiss, will awaken.

      Sounds very romantic!! 🙂
