She Chose

Clematis on fence

The day she chose

to lift her face to the sun,

love her own skin,

embrace her true colours,

she bloomed.

Thanks Isabella! So good to hear from you. I haven’t been writing or bouncing around in the blogging world for so long. I got hacked and had to lay low for a while. How is your summer going so far??

      • Sorry to hear that, Melody, but lovely to see you back with your inspirational words of wisdom. A tonic of living waters for my spirit. Summer is not too hot, just as I like it. I try and get out from time to time but am constantly frustrated and limited with poor health. But ‘this too will pass’, as the saying goes. My motto – Onwards and Upwards. LOve and blessings ♥

  3. This is so beautiful … Made me teary.

Thanks Lyle! Thot about you at the lake last week – our girls were too close to a loon and it flared up and freaked out. Got a few nice shots before we retreated to give her more parenting space. I was pretty sure you would have gotten that National Geographic shot in my place. 🙂

Oh to bloom! The sun makes the colors even more vivid as the smile of flower is visible.
