Raindrops on roses,
textbook cohesion;
biddies gathering to gossip,
assembly converging to count up favourite things.
Seasonal storehouse collecting cacophony
of drips, drops,
splashes and splutters –
the sound of music.

LOL “Biddies gathering to gossip” Love it 😀
🙂 Thanks Alastair!
Very beautiful!
Thanks!
I have a sudden urge to watch Julie Andrews movies. One in particular. Hmmm.
A not-so-subliminal suggestion??? 🙂
A fun poetic connection. I generally hate musicals. And yet, ironically, The Sound of Music is, unequivocally, my all time favorite movie. Seen it about 20 times. Cry each time. I dare anyone to make it through “Climb Every Mountain” and not choke up.
I love the colors in the photo–nice poem too!
Thank you!
I see that the Drip Drop Fairy has been out at your place, too. Gorgeous picture and I just love your poem!
Blessings ~ Wendy
Very Julie Andrews, huh? 😉
What a beautiful photo and poem to go with. 🙂 We happened to be listening to the songs off The Sound of Music today! Thank you for the splendor!
Cool! Thanks!
What a beautiful photo. I liked the sound of the music too.
Thank you David!
