biddies gathering to gossip,
assembly converging to count up favourite things.
Seasonal storehouse collecting cacophony
of drips, drops,
splashes and splutters –
the sound of music.

A fun poetic connection. I generally hate musicals. And yet, ironically, The Sound of Music is, unequivocally, my all time favorite movie. Seen it about 20 times. Cry each time. I dare anyone to make it through “Climb Every Mountain” and not choke up.
