Coldness blunts the sunshine’s rays,
smothers all the warmth in haze,
keeps the Tree from dancing light
and knitting oxygen in flight –
but Tree won’t fret or swallow fear,
for she knows Christmas time is near,
when Peace and Love can melt the snow
and blanket Earth with heaven’s glow.
And may it be a Peaceful Christmas for everyone.
I echo that! π
How gorgeous, Melody! You amaze me with these poems that warm my heart! God bless you!
Pull up a chair to the Melody fireplace… π Thanks Deb!
Oh, Wow-Wonderful!!
π Love the Caddo-ism…
I’m told the Internet will last forever (doubtful) so I suppose the Caddo-isms will be fondly remembered by whoever’s still here…
Complete with Caddo salute and soliloquy! π
I’m feeling very silly tonight, so that cracks me up!! I get such visuals–I should have been in the movie industry…
Well, visualize the Caddo Club Official Uniform, then… π
Howling with laughter, as the seamstress says, “well, we’ll have to let yours out a little, Miz Veil”…
Aren’t they ‘One Size Fits All’ – you seem rather the inclusive type. π
Oh I AM inclusive, definitely–but you told me to visualize, and I saw lots of gold braid and those epaulet thingies, double-breasted, darts and something else I can’t recall since I’m not a seamstress, but fitted–not like a large tent-like choir robe.
You mean like the parade marshall? *snort*
Yeah, something like that–I just saw the movie, “The Music Man” this weekend!!
So should I order them, or will you? Order several – I know Debbie and others will join the club. We can hold meetings all over the world, just for fun. Which continent should we begin on?
You go ahead, Mel–I’m trying to get a shower, and then come up with a poem for Jake’s Sunday Post!!
I’m on it! π
