Planting Emeralds

While winter wailed and bared his teeth, you withdrew into your shell; now, the tears that leaked beneath the earth have come to serve you well. Each precious seed, an emerald gem, plants true beauty in your soul; as they grow, they stitch a hem of radiance to make you whole.

While winter wailed and bared his teeth,

you withdrew into your shell;

now, the tears that leaked beneath

the earth have come to serve you well.

Each precious seed, an emerald gem,

plants true beauty in your soul;

as they grow, they stitch a hem

of radiance to make you whole.

      Don’t emerald trees grow in your area? 🙂

      Thanks Rosy! (Imagine how the emerald market will crash when people know I can grow them myself! ) 😉

      I can’t get enough of it – it’s so slow… but it has begun!

        Hurray! Enjoy it, dear friend.

    I LOVE “stitch a hem of radiance”–Yes, that’s my kind of formal attire!

    1. melodylowes

      Absolutely, Caddo fashion at its finest!

        Just don’t forget the sparkly stuff–sequins would be good, I think they’re my fave (hey Mel, are the BIG sequins called “spangles”? This is actually a serious question, as I can’t seem to find the correct term for those large round, loosely sewed on things which catch the light as they move–in a more subtle way than sequins/glitter…)
