As carbon lies in hidden tombs,
the weight of the world on its shoulder,
its cells align, and, groaning deep,
its troubles make it smolder;
but as the pressures bearing down
create unbearable stresses,
from earthen womb bursts forth a gem
of diamond-studded tresses.
.
As your hope lies in hidden tombs,
the weight of the world on its shoulder,
its cells align, begin to weep,
for troubles make it smolder;
but as the pressures bearing down
create unbearable stresses,
from spirit’s womb bursts forth a gem
transformed, by pain’s successes.
So beautiful and so true. Thank you!
Thanks Judy! 🙂
You are such a talented artist! Lovely!
🙂 Thanks Holly! How is your pain level these days?? How are you managing?
Pain is not bad at all. I’ve been exercising and walking a lot. Still have nerve damage in my leg and foot-tingly and the leg is weak. But I’m soooo much better. Thanks for asking. :-). How’ve you been?
Busy winding up at school and getting my garden ready – I have a writer coming to do a feature on it for a gardening magazine. AND we have a grad! Fun times! 😉 Glad to hear your pain is more manageable. Do you need physio? Will the nerves damage be permanent?
I go to physio and they’re not sure of the nerve damage is permanent. I have a grad too! Except he left early, in January, on a football scholarship.
I’m not looking forward to the empty spot he will leave behind him – but happy that he is off to do what he has chosen for himself…. Hopefully your system will be smart enough to regrow some new nerves! 🙂
Great news on the garden
Fun, isn’t it? I’ve been on the warpath lately – there is a new variety of worm mucking about with my plants and creating some ugly holes everywhere – and nothing I do seems to be able to get rid of them. They are sneaky… I hate them! 😦
Gorgeous photo, Mel–and I love “hope lies in hidden tombs” (so that’s where I packed it!). God bless you today–love, sis Caddo
Thanks Caddo, dear.
Beautiful poem. This image inspires. Diamonds are like droplets that break the falls.
Thanks Sissy! Lovely words…
Love the symmetry!
Thank you!
Reminds me of Romans 5:3 -5 … suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame … Love your reminders 🙂
Thanks Heidi. Love your handle on Biblical quotes…. 🙂
So encouraging, Melody! Thank you bunches!
Thanks Debbie!
