1,000

1,000 raindrops on lily-white skin, 1,000 lilies where sorrow has been, 1,000 sorrows are washed by the rain, After the cleansing, pure joy will remain. * Poem #1,000 In celebration of life, healing, and the joy that comes after the rain!

Amen. I can’t wait for that pure joy when Jesus finally cleanses me completely!

Ah, what a day that will be…. 🙂 All tears gone, all sorrow erased, all sin cleansed, all frustration and pain washed away. Sounds good to me!

Congratulations! You are incredibly prolific, both as a poet and a photographer. Here’s to 1,000 more!

    1. melodylowes

      Aw, thanks. You’re a sweetie! 🙂

  3. lylekrahn

Prolific is exactly the right word. So many hours of work is that?

    1. melodylowes

Wow. I have no idea how many hours – hmmm. Let’s say average 10 minutes per poem – 167 hours or thereabouts? Some took way longer than 10, some less. I can’t believe now that I regularly posted 3 a day for months in a row. Sheesh…

  4. Glenda Mills

Congratulations on your #1000th poem and thanks so much for sharing with others!

    1. melodylowes

      Thank you Glenda!

Oh WOW, this one nearly brought me to my knees, Mel. Overflowing richness, the treasure culled from a life of hard stuff (my take). Bravo on your 1000th poem (wish I’d thought to keep count of mine…)!!!

    1. melodylowes

Yeah – I wonder how many you’ve got? I just know this is 1000 because of how many are tagged ‘poetry’. IF you’d quit switching everything up… 😉

      1. bennetta faire

Oh you’ve got me cackling!! I’m even choking now!! Well, I know this is gonna sound incredible–as it even surprised me–but the “switching everything up” deal has actually proved beneficial on various levels. For one thing, it proves who your real “faithful, loyal and true” folks are–they’ll follow you anywhere. And I’ve met new people–believers, poets–this 3rd time around, that I’m not sure I would have, had I remained Caddo Veil. My die-hard friends still think of me as Caddo–and I think that’s just Lovely!! So I guess, by any other username, Caddo is who I really am–who’d a thunk it?!

Hard to shake a poetic label? Interesting, how bloggers find each other…

I’m betting it’s the Holy Spirit.

  6. Gallivanta

Wow; impressive. 1000 poems. What about a word count? What a wonderful poetic /spiritual path you are travelling.

    1. melodylowes

Word count? Yikes! 🙂 Thank you – it has been a soul-stirring, amazing journey, to be sure…
