    Love it!

      Thanks, poetess! 🙂

We do know it is temporary.

It is just this lesson that I need to apply to every other situation – nothing lasts forever. You just have to wait things out sometimes, and the thaw comes when it is ready. But – you need to also learn to take some pleasure in the frozen places, or you lose a lot of valuable living time. Hmmmmm…..

      1. Lyle Krahn

That’s a high standard. I’m better at impatiently waiting.

I have my Masters – you’re preaching to the choir, Lyle…

  3. Jean-Paul

    I like a lot 🙂

      Merci, Jean-Paul!

I hate it when that happens… Break out the snowshoes! 😉

    1. melodylowes

Indeed! Maybe that’s just the thing for me. I’ve been going stir-crazy in this cold snap…

      1. Eric

Dear, I am sure your weather is much colder up there, you truly being in THE North Country, but I would go bonkers if I didn’t get out a couple of times a day for a snowshoe hike in the woods, no matter the temps. I have gotten a lot of pics and inspiration for the next poem, like you do. I am quite sure that Robert Frost must have made some footfalls near here, judging by his epic winter poetry. I will say a hi for you should I pass him midst the shadows… 🙂 E

Oh, please do!! And you’re right about the getting out to see the beauty. I have let the cold weather be an excuse. No more! Today is the day to get back out there and remember why winter is so beautiful. I will watch for our mutual friend… 😉

LOVE this one. I found a snow-covered bench photo yesterday, still have to work up an “ouchy” lost-love poem for it. That’s your fair warning!

    1. melodylowes

Oh, oh. Nothing in the poem to give a heave-ho with, is there?? 🙂 Keep your objects anchored, lest I let loose with a foot here and there.

      1. Mirada

If you can heave a snow-covered bench–THAT I’d like to see for sure. And if you haven’t yet, you need to read my humorous short story…..

      2. melodylowes

        Will do!

This is both lovely and a smile maker. 🙂
