Ha! That’s a new way to look at winter. I like it. Does that mean special breathing techniques help? 😉

HAHAHA! I hope so – I’m willing to try just about ANYTHING!!! 😉

Yes I can relate to this. I do sometimes feel like I am in prison. Oh I have those bars hanging from my awnings–and now I will feel it even more! But there is something in winter that helps us, keeps us humble and submissive. The labor is necessary though painful.

I agree. I don’t like it – but those places where we are forced to rely completely upon our Saviour do things within us that nothing else seems to be able to produce. And for those reasons, the prison places are places to learn thankfulness…

        Well said. Thanks.

Hang in there! One of these days we will be reaching for an umbrella and rubber boots instead of a parka and ski pants. What a great thought!!

Why oh why must it overstay? I feel so deep and philosophical with first snow and silver, barren trees… and then it’s March, foot stuck in another deep freeze and I just want, please oh please… well, you know. Nicely rhymed and stated Melody. This weekend we set the clock back – that’s a good sign!

It IS a good sign! Plus, look at the extra daylight hours we’re getting these days. We’re on the home stretch!!
