Heaven’s Rain

Heaven’s rain, wash my hands, Cleanse the actions Your Word bans; Bathe my feet in raindrops, too – Make their footfalls follow You. Heaven’s rain, wash my heart, Create within a work of art; Scrub intentions ’til they shine With lofty thoughts and deeds sublime.

Heaven’s rain, wash my hands,

Cleanse the actions Your Word bans;

Bathe my feet in raindrops, too –

Make their footfalls follow You.

Heaven’s rain, wash my heart,

Create within a work of art;

Scrub intentions ’til they shine

With lofty thoughts and deeds sublime.

    We all need that bathing for sure. Sometimes I think the problems that come into my life are the “baptism of fire” to make me face fears and deal with them until they are no longer disturbing my life. It’s much easier to be bathed with a gentle warm rain…. Lovely verse.
