Winter Delight

wintry redpoll

Winging my way through a world wrapped in wonder,

winterland magic in  frost-waves of white;

song rises softly in heart of stunned pleasure,

praise to the Author of winter delight.

      I think he’s a redpoll – here’s a whole lock of them that I see every day in my yard, in their never-ending search for seeds. They haven’t found my birdfeeder yet – is there another life lesson in there somewhere?
