Cast fear aside;
My beams are strong,
My stance is sure.
Coil your heart
Around my Substance –
I Am.
Strong,
Sure,
True,
Right.
You cannot go wrong
In bending to My form,
Clinging to My ways,
Adapting to My structure.
I Am,
And you are not –
So cast fear aside,
And grow beautiful with Me…
Aaaaaaand, here’s my prayer for this week. Thanks.
You’re welcome! 🙂
Nicely done. I like the cross in the wood.
Thank you Lilly!
I think that this is my favorite of the entire week! Awesome photo – encouraging truthful words. Looks like the frost is being kind to your garden…

We’ve squeaked by for now – you’re right, it is a kindness to be able to enjoy the flowers for a few more days (weeks?).
Oh Melody–this one makes me whisper–so reverent, beautiful and peaceful in its assurance of Truth and Love. Wow. And great photo of the cross. Ooooh, I’m ready for church now. God bless you–love, Caddo
I just emailed this to Deb–the winning line, my fave, is “I AM, And you are not”.
Mine, too! Wouldn’t it be fun to collaborate?? Delicious thought!
Seriously?? You want to? I’m definitely up for it!! Through emails, I guess–or how? My head’s spinning–too hot, not enough sleep. Tomorrow’s supposed to be a major cool-down, yay! But sleep, hmmm–think I’m on my own, there!
I think it would be fun! Not sure of the logistics – but give it some thought…
Well, my initial thought is to post the finished collaboration on both our blogs, with both author names. That’s as far as my thinking has progressed…ha ha! I’m off to the re-run of church for now–see you later.
I have seen a photo of a castle looking thingy – I can send it to you and we can share thoughts on it, if it inspires you toward anything?
Ooooh, I LOVE castles!! Sounds great–are we thinking a faith-based poem, or just “general”?? Tell me, if you have a specific direction in mind. Thanks!
I honestly never noticed the cross image when I snapped, or edited, or posted. It took the eyes of others to add a new richness to the symbolism. What a lovely surprise, to find the Cross in the midst of the Truth! (Is there a life lesson in there somewhere???)
Seriously, you didn’t PLAN this “shoot”? WOW, Mel–it jumped out at me right away, and then like I said, I read it and felt like when I was young–in Episcopal Church–the reverence demanded whispering.
I honestly didn’t see it at all. So I wonder how the words match it so well? 🙂
Well, I always say that God writes my stuff–I just hold the pen. Could be He matched up the photo and your words–very nicely!
This one made me cry, but in a good way. And pray to cling to Him more and more! Thank you and God bless you and your wonderful gifts!
Aw, thanks! There are tough lessons we all need to learn – isn’t it great that we can all learn together?
Your garden seem to be full of beautifully grown messages of inspiration
That is where I see life growing, and budding, and struggling… I see many lessons there.
