Only You would take bare wire
and twist it into glacial art;
Only You could shine Your rays
and melt the hardest selfish heart.
Only love could add this sheen
and sculpt a work of vivid hue;
Only grace could dazzle me
so I would worship only You.
Oh Wow, oh Wow, oh Wow–this is “way good”, Melody!
Thank you, Caddo. I appreciate that…
This was so so so beautiful, Melody, in word and photo! Thank you . .I loved it!
Yay, the Debbie seal of approval! 🙂
I can see us like the snowy beauty that in his love melts away in all his light.
Nicely said….
This is a stunning picture. I would love to have it framed in my room to remind me that our Lord is always working behind the scenes melting the coldest times of adversity with his love and grace while he works behind the scenes on our behalf. Your poem was brillant and it teaches another timeless truth that we should never give up on people but wait patiently for the Lord to work on their hearts and change them from the inside out. We are all God’s ever changing works of art
Absolutely! How things would change if we were to treat each person we met each day as a work of art in progress… Thanks for those wise words.
Such a lovely post, my dear Melody 🙂
xoxo
Is it ever nice to have you home, my friend. Your lovely cheerful cyber-presence was missed!
This is awesome, Melody! The picture caught my attention first, and your poem is equally stunning. This is a new favorite for me…
Blessings ~ Wendy
Thanks Wendy!
You are very welcome, Melody. This is an outstanding post! 🙂
My feelings exactly! Great poem and picture.
Wow – you went on a reading spree today, didn’t you? Thanks for your cheerful presence here! 🙂
No one knows yet, but I have gone back to college. I can’t read blogs as they post, I have to pick a day, like Sunday and get caught up. I have homework to do the rest of the week. Some blogs I only read once a month.
Wow – what classes are you taking?
I was just doing 1 History class, to see what I could handle, it is going great. I am adding a short Theatre class next week. I have to do it all online for the first 2 years so I have to really focus to get things done.
Good for you – takes a lot of self-control to work on your won like that!
I am having to limit my time spent reading other books and tweeting, and facebooking. I plan to graduate with a Bachelors in 2-3 years.
Way to go! I have had to limit my reading time, too – life does tend to get in the way of blogging… 🙂
