  1. Great insight expressed! It’s so true! (And we ought to know hereabouts, with all the storms we’ve been having this summer. πŸ™‚ )

Indeed! The rose has come through unscathed, however. We are not usually so lucky. We bloom but not so perfectly.

And some of our petals hang a little sideways, and some get blown right off. But you know – I have learned from looking at the flowers that get hailed and otherwise damaged – that our ideas of perfection and what we should or shouldn’t look like or do are highly overrated. I think maybe, just maybe, the point is not to wait until we can bloom perfectly – but just to bloom! Imperfections and all! I have a feeling that if I were to really, REALLY believe that to my toes, my life would look a lot different…

I’m usually a fan of ironies but this one leaves me hoping for a better way. But it’s not going to happen.

I so understand that. *sigh* I can wish all I like, and it still leaves me knowing that climbing uphill is better for my muscle development than level pavement. I guess we don’t have to like it to know it as truth. One day it will all make sense. Until then – uphill we go!

Melody, there is so much truth and beauty in this an your other posts. I am finally catching up on your site. It’s been a crazy year of travel and joy of a new grand- daughter from China, and contrast os sorrow with 2 deaths in our family.
    Bless you!
